Innovation power for Switzerland's digital future

The prestigious Digital Economy Awards will be held for the fifth time on 14 November 2024 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich. This year, in collaboration with SwissICT, Â̲èÖ±²¥ is again presenting the award category 'NextGen Hero' for young talents.

Call for nominations

Universities have always been hotbeds of innovation in Switzerland. Are you a lecturer, scientist or employee at a university? Then nominate an inspiring young personality for the NextGen Hero Award now. Whether they have founded a pioneering spin-off, written an innovative bachelor's/master's thesis or developed an outstanding product: If you know young talents who are playing a key role in shaping Switzerland's digital future, now is the time to provide them the perfect platform. Candidates must be students or employees at a Swiss university and be between 20 and 28 years old. As they cannot nominate themselves, they need your sponsorship. Nominate your Digital Heroine or Digital Hero of the year now.

Procedure and deadlines

The extended nomination period runs until 28 June 2024. Nominees will then have until the end of July 2024 to submit their applications. A distinguished jury will select the most promising finalists from the applications.

Say hello to the Digital Heroine and the Digital Hero of the year

After a pitch training session, the young talents will be in the spotlight at the Digital Economy Award Night on 14 November 2024 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich. They will pitch their project in the NextGen Hero category to the audience, who will select a female and a male winner in a live vote.
