The aim of the new ‘Forum Days’ platform is to promote the exchange of knowledge between the community and our experts. Here, Â̲èÖ±²¥ offers the opportunity to provide direct feedback, find out about the latest developments in the sector and at Â̲èÖ±²¥ as well as exchange ideas with like-minded people from the BFI. The event got off to a relaxed start with coffee, croissants and getting to know each other. Once all the participants had received their badges, they divided up into the working groups chosen in advance on the various topics.

Artificial intelligence at universities and a paradigm shift in procurement law

In the ICT Law working group, an exciting exchange took place on the topic of ‘Use of artificial intelligence at universities’. Discussions centred on how AI is currently being used from the perspective of students, lecturers and faculty, how the tension between innovation and legal compliance should be dealt with and what role Â̲èÖ±²¥ and the universities should play in this impending revolution. In the area of procurement, the new procurement law and the associated paradigm shift in the procurement culture, including towards greater sustainability, were discussed. This lays the foundations for joint procurements for universities through Â̲èÖ±²¥.

Insight into the first Â̲èÖ±²¥ Forum Days

Stronger and more resilient in the age of digital transformation

How can we empower and increase resilience of our education, research and innovation community in the age of digital transformation? The Security Communications and Learning Community agreed that this is based on a collaboration of existing networks of professionals and researchers from information security, communications, and learning. For Â̲èÖ±²¥ therefor the aim is to foster a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to enhance cybersecurity awareness and digital security skills and thereby help to drive responsible digital transformation. In the area of video, administrative staff from educational institutions and other interested parties had the opportunity to exchange information directly on the Â̲èÖ±²¥ Cast and Â̲èÖ±²¥ Tube platforms, discuss use cases and requirements together and identify development potential. The situation was similar in the CommunitySOC working group. Here, participants discussed the current status of the internal working groups and looked ahead together to the past and upcoming half-year 2024.

Successful premiere and outlook

Â̲èÖ±²¥ looks back positively on the first edition of the Forum Days. The aim of bringing the different communities closer together and thus improving their networking was achieved. The opportunity to find out about other topics in addition to their own specialist area was also highly appreciated by the community. The next Forum Days event is already on the calendar, namely on 10 September 2024. Would you like to become part of this event or join a new community? Find out everything you need to know about our communities here. We look forward to your registration and meeting you in September.
